Anna is a Hong Kong qualified lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law and technology law and leads the dispute resolution team at Ravenscroft & Schmierer. Aside from her legal background, Anna is also an engineer focusing on emerging technology and advises on various virtual assets related and tokenization projects. 

 

Since embarking on her legal career, Anna was part of the team that defended one of the world’s largest crypto-exchanges before the Hong Kong High Court in the jurisdiction’s first cryptocurrency case where she leveraged her engineering skills extensively to help improve her client’s position.

 

This feat was repeated when Anna again leveraged her science background and successfully obtained worldwide Mareva injunction against the pseudonymous wallet address holders in crypto related fraud and persuaded the Court to grant leave to effect service by way of NFT airdrop.

 

To cope with the latest technology developments, Anna has recently persuaded the Hong Kong High Court to grant a worldwide Mareva injunction order prohibiting disposal of crypto assets stored in the cold wallet addresses, and leave to serve the court proceedings on the pseudonymous wallet address holders by way of tokenized legal notice, which is the first among major common law jurisdictions.

 

Today, Anna regularly advises and represents listed companies, licensed corporations and international market leaders in the technology, media and telecommunications sector by providing effective and efficient strategic legal support, risk management and regulatory compliance within the evolving regulatory landscape.
